Earth System Governance in ‘International Innovations’

Prof. Frank Biermann, chair of the Earth System Governance Scientific Steering Committee gave an interview to International Innovations, a magazine that is one of the leading global dissemination resources for the wider scientific, technology and research communities.

In the interview he first explains the Earth System Governance Project as a core Project of the International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (IHDP). Then he outlines the challenges of interdisciplinary social science research in the field of global environmental change and describes how the Earth System Governance Project is well positioned to contribute to the daunting challenge of sustainable development.
